Winter holiday in the Dolomites: Cross‑country skiing & snowshoe hikes

Our favourite season

“No snow, no show,” as the saying goes. Perhaps that is why our Residence Kurze Wand was built in such a snow-covered location? After all … cross-country skiing and fun on the slopes are always an option during your winter holiday in the Tre Cime Dolomites region. Just like winter hiking and toboggan fun.

Skiing: snowy fun in the great outdoors

With 115 kilometres of slopes catering to all levels and five ski mountains, the Tre Cime Dolomites ski area and Dobbiaco are a skier’s paradise. Modern lifts and stunning views promise unforgettable days on the slopes.

Did you know? The lifts are easily and conveniently accessible by ski train and ski bus. That means your car can also enjoy a well‑deserved holiday.

* During your stay, our ski cellar with ski boot dryer is at your disposal.

Cross-country skiing: gliding through pristine snowy landscapes

Skating or classic? The wide-ranging network of cross-country ski trails of the Dolomiti NordicSki cross-country carousel offers perfectly groomed tracks for both techniques around Dobbiaco, and some of them are just a few minutes’ walk from our residence. So, there’s only one thing left for you to do: glide away and enjoy.

Insider tip: the illuminated cross-country ski trails of the Dobbiaco Nordic Arena are also open in the evening.

Hiking: fairytale moments of happiness

Fresh air, dream-like views and snow-covered giants invite you on leisurely hikes. Diligent winter and snowshoe hikers can look forward to a hot chocolate in the serviced mountain huts after the panoramic ascent, before heading back down into the valley on a sledge. Winter hiking & Val Pusteria tobogganing fun at its finest!
